On the 13th of October, I took my newly purchased 70-200 lens to the O2 Surftown Munich to practice capturing some of the action at the finals of the first-ever edition of the German Surfing Championship to take place on German soil. Since its origins in 1996, and up to 2024, Cap de l’Homy on the Atlantic coast of France hosted the event. Some of Germany’s most renowned surf athletes competed, including Valeska Schneider, Olympic athletes Tim Elter and Camilla Kemp (Paris 2024), and Leon Glatzer (Tokyo 2020), among others.

I did this project as a practice exercise and have no affiliation with any of the participants or organisers.
